This is the third part of the program "Global Talent Management" consists of three parts whereas each part will shed light on particular aspect of global talent management.

Part 3 will express specifics of talent management in different contexts. We will cover five contexts – Asia, Latin America, New Zealand, Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.

In this part our colleaugue  Laura Maclennan,  professor in Business at Centro Universitario FEI in Brazil continues conversation about talent management in Latina America, you also meet Snejina Michailova, Professor of International Business, The university of Auckland, Snejina will highlight talent management in small advanced economies (with Australia and New Zealand perspective).

About program

The program "Global Talent Management " aims to  provide  theoretical and practical aspects  of  global talent management highlighting the role of  talented employees and human  capital at different levels of organizational behavior to ensure a firm’s sustainable growth,   innovative  breakthrough   and  competitive  advantage  in  global environment.  The program is intended as overview of global talent management approaches with focus on the creation and development of firm’s competitive advantage through people from strategic point of view in international business.

Nowadays every manager is talent manager as deals with people and teams despite professional/functional areas of employment. Talent management competence provides necessary conditions for effective leadership and performance results.

Education results

The main perspective in the course is different talent management approaches and practices aims to attract, develop and retain the core employees who help to drive organization’s vision and ensure its success in both local and international environment. As one of the key challenges for global managers is to identify, develop and retain the right people to achieve firm’s strategic goals and create competitive advantage, the course aims to focus on key areas that bring about company’s success via understanding of talent management practices in global environment. This holistic view enables students to reach a deep understanding of phenomenon of global talent management and learn how different managerial practices may support a firm’s strategic orientation.

 

Students will

(1) understand of different concepts and perspectives of global talent management; 
(2) develop systematic approach to understanding correlation between talent management and a firm’s performance, competitive advantage and sustainable organizational growth;
(3) know the strategic role of talent management practices in realization of business strategies;
(4) to be able to work in a team and make effective decisions in global talent management area to explain.
