This course is aimed at those who have already completed the first two courses of the specialization and want to continue learning the Russian language and exploring the culture of Russia. The course will help learners prepare for the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL, or ТРКИ, Basic Level — A2).

О курсе

Every module of this course contains essential words and grammar constructions that will help enrich learners' vocabulary and written speech. Exercises and quizzes are split into sections according to the structure of TORFL — Vocabulary and Grammar, Reading, Listening, Reading, Speaking.
This course covers various grammatical topics such as 'Indefinite-personal sentence', 'Direct and Indirect Speech', 'Dative case', 'Expressing wishes with чтобы' and many more. The vocabulary includes useful words for celebrations and holidays, weather and climate.

Upon completion of this course learners will achieve the following learning objectives:

1.1. Learn how to pronounce words with silent consonants.

1.2. Learn the vocabulary related to holidays and celebrations.

1.3. Learn how to form indefinite-personal sentences and how to use them.

1.4. Revise the Intonation Construction 4

1.5. Learn how to form direct and indirect speech sentences.

1.6. Revise the ending changes for the Instrumental case and learn how to use constructions with the Instrumental case.

2.1. Learn the vocabulary related to visiting friends and family.

2.2. Revise the ending changes for the Dative case and learn how to use constructions with the Dative case.

2.3. Learn the vocabulary related to cooking and cuisines.

2.4. Learn the verbs готовить — приготовить, варить — сварить and how to use them.

2.5. Learn the vocabulary related to moving house.

2.6. Revise the verbs of position and learn the verbs that mean placing an object in a certain position.

3.1. Learn the vocabulary related to weather, climate and seasons.

3.2. Learn how to express desire in the complex sentences with conjunction чтобы.

3.3. Learn how to describe nature and weather conditions using predicative adverbs.

3.4 .Learn the vocabulary related to animals and plants.

3.5. Learn the conjugation patterns of verbs расти — вырасти.

3.6. Revise the theory regarding the Prepositional case and practice the use of related constructions.

4.1. Revise the constructions and vocabulary learnt in the course.

4.2. Practice the use of the constructions and vocabulary learnt in the real-life situations (speaking and writing).
