This course introduces the basic actions that should be performed by eyewitnesses right at an emergency scene.

The course consists of 5 blocks: a) first aid for heart arrest (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) b) first aid for airway obstruction and drowning c) first aid for bleeding, injuries, trauma d) first aid for physical factors exposure e) first aid for life-threatening conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, and heart attack Educational material includes pictures and videos made at the Simulation Center at Kazan Federal University to better understand the topics. After the course, you will be able to identify life-threatening conditions, explain the reasons lead to their development, and provide correct first aid.

О курсе

First aid is immediate assistance to the victim until the ambulance arrives. Commonly, first aid is provided by witnesses directly at the scene of the accident. Accidents and injuries occur suddenly. Therefore the assistance urgency often depends on family members, colleagues, or passers-by.

In such situations, anyone with the necessary knowledge and skills can provide first aid. Why is it so important? Because when an accident occurs, no ambulance service in the world, even under the excellent organization and optimal conditions, can respond as quickly as a neighbor or family member nearby. When the stranger knows the basics of first aid, he can avoid serious consequences and even save human life.

We believe that everyone should have first aid skills.

This course will be useful: for students, educational and service personnel, high-risk family members, and anyone who wants to help in case of emergency.

You will learn how to identify life-threatening conditions and provide first aid. During the course, you will become familiar with the main emergency conditions and the action sequence for each one.

We will cover such topics as:

-CPR

-First aid for respiratory obstruction and drowning

-first aid for bleeding, wounds, injuries

-First aid for low and high temperatures affect

We will also take a look at life-threatening conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, and heart attack.
