The course aims to provide theoretical and practical aspects of global talent management highlighting the role of talented employees and human capital at different levels of organizational behavior to ensure a firm’s sustainable growth, innovative breakthrough and competitive advantage in global environment.
The course is intended as overview of global talent management approaches with focus on the creation and development of firm’s competitive advantage through people from strategic point of view in international business.
Nowadays every manager is talent manager as deals with people and teams despite professional/functional areas of employment. Talent management competence provides necessary conditions for effective leadership and performance results.
Basic knowledge in Human Resource Management and Strategic Management will help to understand course materials.

The main perspective in the course is different talent management approaches and practices aims to attract, develop and retain the core employees who help to drive organization’s vision and ensure its success in both local and international environment. As one of the key challenges for global managers is to identify, develop and retain the right people to achieve firm’s strategic goals and create competitive advantage, the course aims to focus on key areas that bring about company’s success via understanding of talent management practices in global environment. This holistic view enables students to reach a deep understanding of phenomenon of global talent management and learn how different managerial practices may support a firm’s strategic orientation.
The discipline is aimed at the formation of universal competencies of students in the educational programs of the bachelor's / specialist's degree, as well as other competencies provided for by the educational program.
ОПК-2. Способен осуществлять сбор, обработку и анализ данных для решения задач в сфере управления персоналом;
ОПК-3. Способен разрабатывать и осуществлять мероприятия, направленные на реализацию стратегии управления персоналом, обеспечивать их документационное сопровождение и оценивать организационные и социальные последствия;
ОПК-4. Способен применять современные технологии и методы оперативного управления персоналом, вести документационное сопровождение и учет;
ОПК-5. Способен использовать современные информационные технологии и программные средства при решении профессиональных задач;
ОПК-6. Способен понимать принципы работы современных информационных технологий и использовать их для решения задач профессиональной деятельности
Students will
(1) know the strategic role of talent management practices in realization of business strategies;
(2) understand of different concepts and perspectives of global talent management;
(3) develop systematic approach to understanding correlation between talent management and a firm’s performance, competitive advantage and sustainable organizational growth;
4) to be able to work in a team and make effective decisions in global talent management area to explain
